 Text of the act(Considered status of legislation: 1. April 2008)

Anträge

(1) Anträge auf Zugang zu einem Dokument sind in schriftlicher, einschließlich elektronischer, Form in einer der in Artikel 314 des EG-Vertrags aufgeführten Sprachen zu stellen und müssen so präzise formuliert sein, dass das Organ das betreffende Dokument ermitteln kann. Der Antragsteller ist nicht verpflichtet, Gründe für seinen Antrag anzugeben.

(2) Ist ein Antrag nicht hinreichend präzise, fordert das Organ den Antragsteller auf, den Antrag zu präzisieren, und leistet ihm dabei Hilfe, beispielsweise durch Informationen über die Nutzung der öffentlichen Dokumentenregister.

(3) Betrifft ein Antrag ein sehr umfangreiches Dokument oder eine sehr große Zahl von Dokumenten, so kann sich das Organ mit dem Antragsteller informell beraten, um eine angemessene Lösung zu finden.

(4) Die Organe informieren die Bürger darüber, wie und wo Anträge auf Zugang zu Dokumenten gestellt werden können, und leisten ihnen dabei Hilfe.
